Ethics & Affiliate Policy
The rules this site operates under. They are versioned, public, and boring on purpose.
The six rules
- Rankings cannot be bought. No paid placement, no sponsored positions, no "featured" slots sold to manufacturers.
- Scores come from public data. Editorial scores are built from manufacturer documentation, warranty terms, parts pricing, SDK docs and public reliability reporting — never from private deals or first-person claims we can't back.
- Commercial status is disclosed, always. Energize Lab (Eilik) Visit links may earn a commission. Those links use
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". Citation and evidence links stay on the official manufacturer page. Other makers' Visit links still go to official homepages. A commercial relationship never changes a score or a rank, and it is disclosed here. - Affiliate income never touches scores. Score logic and commercial logic live in separate files by design. A partnered robot gets no scoring benefit.
- Discontinued products stay listed. Bricked and abandoned robots remain visible as buyer warnings. The industry's failures are part of the buying decision.
- No dark patterns. No fake urgency, no countdown timers, no invented discounts, no email capture walls.

Affiliate status
Current status: Energize Lab Visit links may earn a commission. Energize Lab store links use https://store.energizelab.com/?ref=rxpbuzqx with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". That includes the Eilik Visit buttons on the homepage comparison table and in the match result, the store link on the Eilik profile, and the Eilik product links on the kids and pets guides. We may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Score-source and evidence links on the Eilik profile stay on energizelab.com. The sitewide affiliateActive flag remains false — every other Visit link still goes to the manufacturer's official homepage with rel="noopener noreferrer". Scores and rankings are independent of this relationship.
